A common problem calls for a simple solution
Despite what many believe, the key to safe grain storage lies in the grain temperature and not the moisture content. Evans and Pearce Ltd, are the originators of the ‘Pedestal’ ventilation system.
Trouble Shooter
 Trouble Shooter

Trouble Shooter with VBL5/3 Fan- 1/5 HP
This fan will ventilate up to 30-35 tonnes of grain and should eliminate the Hotspot within 24 hours. Ambient conditions and the severity of the problem will effect cooling rates.

Trouble Shooter with High Capacity VBL6/3 Fan- 1/3 HP
This fan will fully utilize the ventilation capacity of the Trouble Shooter spear. The VBL6/3 fan is capable of curing a hotspot in 50-60 tonnes of grain; this can be achieved in 12 hours if the conditions allow. The increased work rate allows the Trouble Shooter to be quickly moved on to the next problem area, giving you a more efficient tool and peace of mind.

Evans and Pearce Ltd Grain Store Tip
Enhance the area that the unit covers by placing a circular sheet of lightweight plastic around the neck of the spear inserted. This ensures the fan will pull from a wider area.

Hotspots will rapidly occur in grain that has not been adequately cooled, either from the field or off of the dryer. Grain quality can deteriorate quickly if these problem areas are not identified and cured.
