Spring seed processing continues a pace

Thursday 19th February 2015

Spring seed processing continues a pace with Propino leading the way as this season’s most popular spring barley. A 100 tonne order from a new customer in Hampshire got the week off to a flying start and it has continues in a similar vain throughout. Manganese and Start Up sales have been strong as growers seek to give crops every chance of reaching potential from day one. Spring bean planting are up by about 50% based upon tonnes of seed processed this year. Don’t forget to get seed stocks tested for Stem Nematode before we process.

Spring wheat, Mulika is starting to be drilled on lighter land and the barleys will soon follow as drillings gets underway between the showers in the southwest.

Thank you to Clapton Biogas for the tour of their AD plant earlier in the week, Very impressive.
