Farm saved seed, slug pellet applicators, grain store ventilation and wireless fan control app

Monday 23rd November 2015

As the winter draws in and we reflect on the 2016 harvest we are delighted that our fleet of mobile seed processors ran with 100% reliability, this in turn led to what we felt was a relaxed season despite the late harvest and the difficult conditions for the farmers. In 2016 we are looking to increase our output further so if you can recommend a fellow farmer to farm save seed with Evans and Pearce we have a reward for you in return for the contract; that will give your establishing crops the best chance and the slugs the least chance! Call the office or send us an email for details.

Whilst half the team were out on farm over the summer the office had a record season for Polycool sales making us one of the UK’s largest suppliers of low volume ventilation systems for crop conditioning. This season we have seen our product exported to Hungary, Germany, France, Sweden, Poland, Estonia and even New Zealand. We feel that this speaks volumes about the product its reliability and usability.

In the workshop we have taken onboard the feedback from our electro broadcaster customers and implemented a number of design changes including new shut off actuator, new spreader disc, all stainless steel construction, reconfigured wiring and a new synchro box. These changes have seen the spread width meet the 24m meter mark with more consistency and the frame strength increase making the range highly desirable and competitive in the market place. So if you are looking for a new broadcaster for seed, slugs or salt please do get in touch with our sole distribution agents Logic

In early 2016 we will be launching the first app based wireless/wired fan control system which will enable you to manage and monitor your grain store over the 3G and 4G network from telephones and tablets. The app will initially be available in beta form so we can see what the uptake is and take feedback from users on what it lacks or what its virtues are so we can look further at the app development and make a tool that is truly useful to the end user.

Finally we would like to thank all of our customers for making all this possible at Evans and Pearce
