Coolspears provide a simple means of removing problematic hot spots from grain.
Our spears are made from long lasting, 100mm, galvanised steel tube with a unique, anti-slip winding handle for ease of use.
Coolspear Standard – 2.35m long
Slotted in standard profile for use with all cereals and pulses
Coolspear OSR – 2.35m long
Slotted to prevent the ingress of Oil Seed Rape or small seeds
The key to safe storage is ensuring grain is cool not just dry. Hot spots can rapidly occur in stockpiles not being adequately ventilated or where ducts are not spaced correctly.
Used with our PV50 fan, hot spots can be removed with Coolspears from approximately 50 tonnes of grain in 12 hours.

Polycool Lateral Options
Coolspears are 2.35m long. Constructed from tough Spiral Wound galvanised steel tubing. Available for Oil Seed Rape or Cereals.
Rapidly cool hot spots in grain which could quickly cause problems in store.
Screw in Coolspear’s easy to use ‘Anti Slip’ winding handle (available separately), makes them quick and easy to use. The newly designed handle slides through a reinforced top section to ensure absolutely no slippage whilst the spear is being screwed into crop piles.
One handle can be used for multiple spears, therefore sold separately. All are stock items and available for next day delivery.
